HOW DO WE TEACH ENGLISH?

We believe that you will learn English most successfully when classes are interesting, engaging and students participate as much as possible. In our classes you will:

hear and speak English throughout the class
be encouraged to take part in the classes as much as possible
be challenged and stimulated
feel comfortable, supported and, most importantly, you won’t feel stressed
have the opportunity to develop all your skills in a creative environment
use a variety of media (visual, audio, computer) to stimulate and motivate you

WHAT COURSES DO WE OFFER?

Our courses are organised according to age and ability in English. Before you join a class, you must do a level test. This test will make sure that you join a class that is right for you. Please visit our registration webpage for more information about the next testing session. Levels range from beginner to advanced.

Young Adults

Suitable for: young adults in high school grades IX to XII (15-18 years)

Focus on:

Developing independent learning and thought
Developing creativity and initiative
Providing a systematic development of language and skills
Preparation for formal English exams
Preparation for higher studies in English

Schedule:

Classes are scheduled one and a half hours, twice a week per 12 week term. According to your child’s level of English classes may be available:

9.15-10.45 or 11.00-12.30 or 16.00-17.30
Some levels may be available on Saturday afternoon

HOW DO WE ASSESS YOUR PROGRESS?

We believe that you will gain most from your course through a system of continuous monitoring and assessment. You are assessed on speaking, writing, effort and the end of term test. This will give you a clear idea of how you are progressing in each area and will also show your teacher what areas you need help in. At the end of each term you will get a certificate with a grade for each area assessed:

B Very Good
C Good
D Needs improvement
E Cannot be assessed

You will also get an overall grade which reflects your performance throughout the term, including the final test.

HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR A COURSE?

Before you can register for an English course, we need to find out your current level of English. Please visit our registration webpage to see when our next registration period is and to see the schedule for level testing. The level test consists of a short written test (30-40 minutes) and an interview with a teacher (5-10 minutes). After the level test, one of our Customer Services team will give you information about the schedules available for the class which our teacher has recommended for you. If we have a class at a time suitable for you and with available places, you can then register. (Places in classes are sold on a first come, first served basis and availability is limited.)
