Café Scientifique is a concept that has been adapted by the British Council to engage a wider audience with science and the impact it has on our lives.
The first event of Darwin Cafe Scientifique connected physicians and researchers in life science from Romania, Scotland and Ukraine starting from the question "Will we live for ever? Life science and medicine".
The debate took place on Friday, 17 October 2008 in the videoconference room of British Council office in Bucharest.
The chair of the Romanian team was Silviu Apostol, biologist and finalist of FameLab national competition, 2007.
Café Scientifique provided a relaxed forum for people to talk about the latest thought-provoking and topical science issues.
