In this section giving some English for Medicine we offer two articles to read and two to listen to, with related vocabulary practice.

  • Read an article about the Wii and its relevance to medicine, check your comprehension and learn or revise some vocabulary related to surgery.
  • Read about the new ailment, cyberchondria, check your understanding in general and in detail and learn some words related to illness.
  • Listen to an interview with a retired doctor, Rajan Mehta, about his life working in the UK and learn some general medical vocabulary.
  • Finally, you can listen to four different health workers describing what their jobs consist of and learn some medical work vocabulary.
