going global

by Chris Rose

Going global - expanding your business to other countries:  good or bad?  It must be good or nobody would do it - but is it always good?  What are the problems, the pitfalls; what does the entrepreneur have to look out for?  We think of multinational companies in this context but there are many small companies which also operate on a global scale, even though that scale is not so enormous.

In this article you can:

read about some of the barriers to success, practicalities that must be taken into consideration, and check how well you have understood
listen to people explaining their experiences and check both your general and specific understanding
develop your vocabulary with words and phrases related to the subject
