Listening Section 3
There may be a variety of question types in Section 3. Here you will find statements to complete, multiple choice questions where you choose the appropriate answer, statements which you must decide are true, false or if the information is not given and open questions.
Listen and answer questions 21-30.
Listening Section 4
The eight questions in this final section will also include at least two types. Here you have a summary where you must fill in the gaps and some statements where you must decide if they are true, false or if there is insufficient information to know.
Listen and answer questions 31-38.
If you have not got all the answers right you should go on practising your listening. There are many listening activities on other parts of this LearnEnglish Professionals site as well as other internet sites. Some other ways of doing this are by listening to the radio, for example, the BBC World Service. Listen to plays and discussions as well as the news and information items. In IELTS you will hear monologues but you will also hear dialogues and conversations, in both formal and informal situations. Listen to whatever sources of spoken English you can, as often as possible.
