ENGLISH FOR CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS (FROM 6 TO 17)

Our Young Learner courses range from primary school to secondary school and aim to develop students' confidence and command of spoken and written English within the structured framework of the Council of Europe. The courses are designed to consolidate and extend the English learnt at school

At each level, teachers use a variety of teaching methods ensuring that lessons are both effective and enjoyable. In addition to following a course book, all students are involved in different types of activities suitable for their age group. These include pair and group work, role-play, interactive language games, music and CD-Roms. Students also have access to library facilities.

Primary students (for students aged 6 - 9)

Courses for learners who are 6 and 7 years old (P1 and P2) have a maximum of 12 children in each.

Our Primary school courses are topic-based and are designed to be communicative, motivating and fun. Our lessons focus on developing children's confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing through creative activities, language games, songs, stories and videos. Children may take Cambridge ESOL Young Learner Tests at the end of the year.

Our courses are divided into 5 levels from beginner/false beginners upwards and run once-a-week (3 hours) or twice-a-week (1.5 hours each lesson).

Maximum number of children per class (P3, P4 and P5) : 16

Junior students (for students aged 10 - 12)

Our Junior level courses are for beginners, false beginners and pre-intermediate students and offer the chance to develop language skills in English through a range of communicative and personalised topics and tasks. The lessons maximise and build on students’ grammatical knowledge and integrate strategies to enable them to develop greater learner autonomy.

Our courses integrate preparation for the Cambridge ESOL exams: KET.

Our courses are divided into 4 levels from beginners upwards, and run once-a-week (3 hours) or twice-a-week (1.5 hours each lesson).

Maximum number of students per class: 16

Teenager students (for students aged 12 - 17)

Our Teens courses offer students the opportunity to begin learning English on a fast-track programme taking them through beginner and pre-intermediate stages before progressing to regular courses which consolidate skills, vocabulary and grammatical areas through integrated lessons using the communicative method. Learner autonomy is a key area at teenager level.

Our courses integrate preparation for the Cambridge ESOL exams: KET, PET, FCE and CAE.

Our courses are divided into 8 levels from beginner/false beginners upwards and run once-a-week (3 hours) or twice-a-week (1.5 hours each lesson).

Maximum number of students per class (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7 and T8) : 16
