ENGLISH COURSES FOR ADULTS
Where
We have three centres in Lisbon - central Lisbon, Miraflores and Parede.
When
Classes are usually three hours per week, either twice a week for one and a half hours a lesson or once a week for three hours.
We have three main terms a year, beginning in October and running for ten weeks.
Course content
You work with realistic, meaningful language to complete tasks (for example, carrying out a class survey, creating a class profile, writing a report, or giving a presentation). You work in groups, pairs, or by yourself, depending on the requirements of the task.
You use a variety of resources, including multi-media, and not just a course book to help you develop your English language skills.
Approach and methodology
We help students feel comfortable expressing themselves in English and enable them to communicate effectively.
Assessment
You progress at your own rate and are assessed by your teacher in a number of ways throughout the course, including individual counselling and assessment of tasks undertaken in class.
You are encouraged to take part in your own self-assessment and to work with your teacher to determine how best to progress.
International qualifications
We run short thirty hour preparation courses for University of Cambridge English language exams at First Certificate (FCE) Cambridge Advanced Exam (CAE) and Cambridge Proficiency (CPE)
