HOW ARE THE TESTS MARKED?
Band scores are recorded on a Test Report Form with your picture on it, showing overall ability as well as your detailed scores in listening, reading, writing and speaking. The institutions to which you are applying will normally tell you which band they require. Between one and nine., nine being an expert user and one being a non user.

HOW TO GET THE RESULTS?
The results are printed on a Test Report Form 13 days after the test date and immediately sent to you by post. No results will be given by phone, fax or email. You are allowed to receive one original copy ONLY of the Test Report Form. Official copies can be sent to the educational institutions of your choice if you fill in page 3 of the application form when completing your registration. There is no extra charge for this service

As part of our improved service to customers you can now see your results on line 13 days after the date of your test from 1700 onwards. Visit the British Council's IELTS on-line results system web page and follow the instructions.

You may take the test as many times as you wish.
