Frequently asked questions
If you want an internationally recognised qualification, choose an FCE, CAE, CPE course. Courses include a free mock exam.
If you want to improve your English for business or work purposes, choose an English for Business or BEC class.
If you want a general English course, choose a course from Beginner up to Proficiency.
If you are a Young Learner ( 12-17 ) , choose from our Teens or Young Adults courses.

If you are a new student then you need to take a placement test. You can book your placement test online or by contacting the Customer Services Departments in Warsaw (22 695 59 00/01/61) or in Krakow (12 428 59 30/39)

Testing takes place before the start of each new course. You will need to make an appointment to come to our centre to do the test. The test takes about 1 hour. During that time you will speak to one of our teachers, who will help you choose an appropriate class for you. For further information please contact Etc@britishcouncil.pl.
A typical semester course of 62 tuition hours costs 2490 PLN. A class hour is 45 minutes.
Payment must be made in full before the start of the course or in two instalments in the time agreed during registration. Payment can be made through a bank or a post office or by a credit card. For more details please contact Etc@britishcouncil.pl.
