How to apply for a job

A British Council staff member

The selection process involves completing an application form and, if you are short-listed, an interview.  We do not accept CVs as formal applications for employment.  We operate an equal opportunities policy. Our jobs are advertised in the national and/ or local press.

You should contact the relevant country office for information.  The addresses of our country offices are on this website.  Most staff in our country offices are nationals of the country concerned.

In the UK, our jobs are usually advertised on our website and in The Guardian (print and online) and/or other relevant professional publications. We use a contracted staff agency to fill short-term administrative jobs in the UK.

If you are interested in our teaching opportunities, you can review our current vacancies and apply online.
