MIPEX BACKGROUND AND PARTNERS

MIPEX was conceived and managed by the British Council and the Migration Policy Group. The Index was published 15 October 2007.

The British Council is project managing the initiative with the lead research partner, the Migration Policy Group. Over 20 other partners are contributing to the Index study.

1 The term ‘migrants’ refers to ‘Third Country Nationals’ legally residing in an EU Member State, Canada, Norway or Switzerland. It therefore does not refer to refugees or asylum seekers, irregular migrants, intra-EU migrants or citizens with immigrant origins.
