Working Across Borders

Multi-lateral Projects

Under the Living Together programme, we have launched a number of community-based projects to engage diverse community groups. These projects have been designed in collaboration with local partners and focus on the Living Together themes of minority and new migrant communities.

We are using our networks to help create new relationships and collaborations across borders. These cross-border collaborations will provide an important opportunity to examine the issues, compare experiences, gather resources and connect thinking.

Establishing partnerships across borders encourages awareness and dialogue between national governments, civil society and citizens. Through this multi-lateral approach, we are encouraging the development of links between communities and nations. We are encouraging partners across Europe to share their experience of working with communities and to develop joint initiatives that enhance the interaction of these communities. These projects focus in particular on working with civil society and young leaders.

LoFT (Leap of Faith Together) - A community volunteering scheme for young leaders from diverse communities to work together in teams to develop projects which will make a positive difference in their communities.
Imagine Your Future - A media project aimed at enabling young leaders from migrant and minority communities to articulate their ambitions and agendas with the wider public through digital media. A series of short digital films around the theme ‘Imagine Your Future’ will be launched across South East Europe.
Migrant Cities -A research project which aims to promote intercultural dialogue through exploring issues associated with migration in both home and host societies. A consolidated report focusing on real stories and case studies will form the basis for public debates across Europe.
