Management of Intellectual Property in Science and Higher Education Institutions: its role in the process of technology transfer

Conference description

The purpose of the conference is to share experience and exchange ideas of managing IPR, innovation and technology transfer centres within universities and research insitutes. The conference provides an opportunity for Lithuanian HEI (higher education institutions) and PROs (Public Research Organizations) managers and counterparts from the UK, Finland and Norway to discuss challenges and possibilities in managing IPR and commercializing innovation. The role of universities and research institutes to boost innovation for the country will be at the centre of discussions, too. The main topics covered will be institutional and national approaches towards managing IP and promoting innovation, IPR and innovation strategies, knowledge transfer ways and opportunities to commercialize IP, models of knowledge and technology transfer.  

Participants:

Conference participipants will be managers, senior administrators of higher education and research institutes,  inovation and research centres, policy makers, senior civil servants and other interested in IPR management policy and practice.

The Grand Hall of Lithuanian Science Academy, (Gedimino ave. 3, Vilnius, Lithuania)
