The British Council is presenting the International Young Screen Entrepreneur of the Year (IYSEY) award. IYSEY is part of our International Young Creative Entrepreneur (IYCE) programme, including awards for entrepreneurs in publishing, music, design and fashion. This is the exciting first year of the IYSEY project, following successful programmes in other sectors.
WHAT IS OUR AIM?
to champion and celebrate the importance of creative entrepreneurs working in the international film industry,WHY PARTICIPATE?
to showcase your individual achievement and potential,In October the finalist will participate in tour of UK film industry, including meetings in London and one other UK region, the judging process, IYSEY screening event, public and industry events at London Film Festival, where the inaugural IYSEY winner will be announced.
WHAT IS THE AWARD?
A financial award (£7,500), which is to be spent on a project (in collaboration with the British Council) that builds the relationship between the winner’s country and the UK. The project will be linked to the UK and tailored to the winner’s specific needs (the winner will be encouraged to come up with their own proposal).
WHO IS LITHUANIAN FINALIST?
Film producer Ieva Norviliene was selected finalist to represent Lithuania at the IYSEY 2007.
