Guidance and application form for UK schools    

Please note that there are no current dates for contact seminars in 2008/09 and we are therefore no longer accepting applications to take part in the Connecting Classrooms UK Middle East project. Should you wish to be considered for any future contact seminars please register your interest by sending your full contact details to world.links@britishcouncil.org

Forms can be sent by post or e-mail, but not faxed. If submitting your application by e-mail, you should also post an original, signed, copy of the headteacher and participants’ declaration.

What will the selectors be looking for?

Commitment to working appropriately with two overseas schools catering for different genders but contributing to a combined project    
Commitment to building sustainable partnerships and working with the project for a minimum of three years   
Commitment to educational goals as an integral part of the partnership   
Commitment to working together in equity-based relationships recognising that every school has something to learn and every school has something to share   
Commitment to informing and engaging the wider school community   

Schools in the Middle East should contact their local British Council office for information on how they can get involved in the programme.
