2006 Teaching and Examinations Winner

The Teaching and Examination Innovation Award celebrates the creativity of British Council staff working in our teaching and examination centres. The 2006 Award will be presented to Anthony Sheridan and Budsaprapat Thatavakorn from British Council Bangkok, for:

Practise Your Pronunciation - A self study pronunciation programme with the British Council Thailand - Volume Two

Two innovative pronunciation books with CDs were produced for the Thai Ministry of Education to support their efforts to help Thai learners of English develop their pronunciation.

The books are used by Thai teachers of English to improve their own English pronunciation as well as that of their students. The product has also proved popular with students in the British Council self-access centre.

This has helped to considerably raise the profile of the British Council in Thailand as well as providing a valuable resource for pronunciation practice.
