Diploma in English for International Communication

Level: First degree. Aimed at those whose first language is not English. The qualification will provide access to further study at university level, open up training opportunities and enhance career prospects.

Skills tested: Three modules plus a Background Knowledge Paper which tests candidates’ ability to communicate using all four skills plus their knowledge of topics of interest in the UK and the English-speaking world. The modules contain authentic material.

Availability: Available at approved centres and the Institute’s own London centre in May each year. Papers may also be taken at any appropriate venue where security and confidentiality can be assured.
