The Punctuation Game was designed and produced by Cambridge English Online.

There are Punctuation games to practise the following items of punctuation:

it's vs its
Each sentence contains examples of the words 'it's' and 'its' - but which is correct in each case?

The cobbler
A very short funny story about a cobbler (a person who repairs shoes), containing a mixture of punctuation items.

The letter
A very short story about a long-lost letter, containing a mixture of punctuation items.

The operation
A very short story about a very brave young boy, containing a mixture of punctuation items.

The river
A delightful, very short description of a river, containing a mixture of punctuation items.

how to play the punctuation game

You are given a text or a number of different sentences, from which all the punctuation (as well as Capital (UPPER CASE) letters) has been removed. You have to insert the punctuation and change lower-case letters to upper-case where required.

Items of punctuation included in the activities include apostrophes, commas, full stops, exclamation marks and quotation marks.
