Phone T 222 073 060, email porto.enquiries@pt.britishcouncil.org or come in person to British Council Rua de Breiner to take a placement test any Thursday (1430 - 1900) or Saturday (1400 - 1600)*
*Note there is no placement testing on Saturday 18 February and Saturday 31 March.

ENGLISH COURSES FOR ADULTS

Our general English adult courses develop your language skills in a collaborative environment. These courses will respond to your language needs and personal objectives, and help you succeed in your chosen career.
Our intensive summer courses give you the chance to top up on your speaking skills or one year of English in 6 weeks during July and September

English courses for young learners

Our young learner courses for primary and secondary school pupils aim to develop your child’s confidence and command of spoken and written English within the structured framework of the Council of Europe. The courses are designed to consolidate and extend the English learnt at school, and prepare them for the global career environment of the future.

Our intensive summer holiday courses provide children and teenagers with an enjoyable and positive English language learning experience, using interactive, motivating activities.

Exam preparation courses

Get qualified and prove you can use your English. We provide preparation courses for the IELTS exam and  University of Cambridge general English tests (FCE, CAE and CPE) and Business English certificates (BEC Preliminary, Vantage and Higher). These courses will greatly improve your chances of success in these internationally recognised exams.

English for Professionals

We offer public courses for developing General Business English skills at a range of levels, and custom-made courses for one-to-one students or corporate clients.
