Role of Scotland Advisory Committee members

The role of the Scotland Advisory Committee is to help ensure an effective Scottish contribution to our overall strategy and an effective response to the needs of Scotland.

Members participate in four Committee meetings a year, highlighting new developments in Scotland and providing professional advice in their area of expertise. We also ask members to act as advocates for the Council’s work in Scotland; to provide advice from time to time between meetings; and to attend key stakeholder meetings and events.

Members give a commitment of around three half days and one full day per year to fulfill the role, plus additional attendance at Council-organised events.
