Conference Description
Given the importance of English to the success of current political and economic development, the conference aims at promoting a cross-disciplinary research in language studies and use, especially in the fields of economics and politics. The objective of the conference is to contribute to the understanding of language as a means of international communication.

The conference aims at bringing together distinguished scholars, practitioners and novice researchers from the domain of applied linguistics for economics, politics and other fields.

In view of changes occurring in the global context, the conference especially invites researchers from countries within the European Neighbourhood to enable all participants to share ideas on new research horizons and set up cross-cultural cooperation.

The conference intends to provide a venue for the dissemination of current research on the proposed themes:

Please submit an abstract with a maximum of 200 words on the themes above.
Notification of acceptance by 20 December 2008.

Deadlines
Receipt of abstracts: 30 November 2008.
Early registration of participants: 31 January 2009.

Conference Fee
Early registration fee Ls 55 (80 EUR)
On-site registration Ls 84 (120 EUR)

The registration fee covers a set of conference materials, coffee breaks and welcoming reception.
