About Us
The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for educational and cultural relations.
We connect people worldwide with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and build lasting relationships between the UK and other countries.
The British Council was founded in 1934 and today we are a major international organisation employing 7,900 staff. In 2009 we celebrate our 75th anniversary.
We established a presence in Paris in 1944.

We are recruiting
We are looking for supervisors and invigilators for our centres in Paris, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Strasbourg and Toulouse. If you are interested, please email British Council IELTS Services: ielts@britishcouncil.fr.
We are often asked about stages and work opportunities in our Paris office. However it is only very rarely that job opportunities occur. When they do they are advertised on our site, in the national press and specialist journal
We are unable to respond to unsolicited applications. More information about working for the British Council
