Business English Language Testing Service (BULATS)

BULATS is a service designed to test the language of employees, trainees and job applicants who need to use English as a foreign language in their work.

This service will provide you with the following:

What form does the test take?

BULATS offers the following four types of test:

  1. The Computer Test
  2. The Standard Test (Reading and Listening)
  3. The Speaking Test
  4. The Writing Test

Each of the above tests can be used independently of the others, or they can be used in various combinations. This principle of flexibility allows BULATS to customise the service for different situations.

When is BULATS available?

BULATS is an on-demand test. You choose the date and time (subject to examiner availability). We just need you to confirm your chosen date five working days in advance.

Test Results

Results are usually available within one week of the test date. Results can be given in a Group Report for the authorised contact person in the client company. Also Individual reports are produced for each candidate.
