About the integration to Tokyo Centre

The British Council Japan has decided to concentrate its office functions in its Tokyo Centre in order to run its business more efficiently.  We will therefore cease offering English courses and customer services at our Osaka Centre on 18 September 2010.

Other services currently provided from our Osaka Centre will be transferred to the Tokyo Centre, and will continue to be provided as they are now.  We will continue to provide English courses in Western Japan by sending teachers to corporations, universities and other educational organisations.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause in Western Japan.  Japan remains a top priority country for the British Council and we will continue to do our utmost to build enduring links between the UK and Japan through our cultural relations activities. Your kind understanding is appreciated.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support since the foundation of the Osaka Centre in 1994, and we look forward to continuing our fruitful relationship.
