Dimi Reider
A well known journalist and blogger, co-founder of +972 Magazine. His works have appeared in publications including The New-York Times, The Guardian, Foreign Policy and Haaretz. Dimi will be studying Middle East politics at School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
Lianne Pollak
After completing 3 years in the Prime Minister's Office in Israel, Lianne worked in the negotiation team with the Palestinians during the Annapolis process. She received her BA in Government, Strategy and Diplomacy from IDC Herzliya. Lianne is also the co-founder of the Sanhedrin – a forum for young professionals who meet with high ranking figures to discuss challenges for the State of Israel. Lianne will be studying an Msc in Public Management and Governance at LSE.
Emad Naseraldin
A student of Diplomacy and Security from Daliat El-Carmel, who is interested in policy making in the areas of education, socio-economic issues and foreign affairs. Emad will be studying International Public Policy at University College of London.
Eden Sarid
a human rights activist from Jerusalem who volunteered in the Jerusalem Open House (LGBT organisation) and who has a particular interest in promoting transitional justice mechanisms in Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Eden will be studying law at London School of Economic and Political Science.
Erez Abu - LLM Law at King’s College London
Erez defines himself as a long distance runner who sets himself lofty goals and spares no efforts to reach them. An activist from an early age in the Israel Labor party, serving as Vice Chairman of Young Labor, Erez also worked as political adviser to Minister of Defence Ehud Barak, and as political and media adviser to MP Danny Yatom. After finishing his studies in Law, Erez intends to reconstruct the Israeli Left, in particular the peace camp and ultimately become a high-level decision maker with a social democratic agenda.
Assaf Geva - MSc in Economic Policy at University College London
Assaf previously divided his time between his work as an Economist in the Economics and Research Department of the Ministry of Finance and his role as the leader of a unique football club which promotes co-existence between Jews and Arabs through sport - a groundbreaking initiative which has inspired similar initiatives throughout Israel. With his strong sense of civic duty, he believes that his studies of economics in the world’s most advanced economies will provide him with the knowledge to help shape future economic policy in Israel.
Batsheva Korzen - MSc in Migration Studies at St Anthony’s College, Oxford
As Executive Director of the Hotline for Migrant Workers, an Israeli NGO, which promotes the rights of migrants and refugees and fights against trafficking in persons, Batsheva has helped develop the hotline from a small NGO to one of the leading human rights organisations in Israel. Named as one of Israel’s ten influential social activists by the Marker, Batsheva is passionate about advocacy work and hopes to use her studies and networking experiences in the UK to promote human rights in Israel and contribute to a more just and healthy society.
Tal Malkin - LLM Law at University College London
As an intern at Yedid: the Association for Community Empowerment, Rabbis for Human Rights and the Brookdale Institute and as a law clerk for Justice Elyakim Rubinstein, Tal came to believe that the legal profession is one of the more effective ways to influence society and bring about real change. In addition, her participation in an intense Israeli-Palestinian dialogue project made her aspire to acquire a deeper understanding of conflict-resolution theory and practice which will help to change Israeli society for the better.
Ori Lederman - Masters in Business Administration at the London Business School
Ori works as a Business Development and Innovation Project Manager in the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). He has a passion for renewable energy, which was sparked by his research on Solar Energy during his studies in Electrical Engineering. After having gained financial and business knowledge at the London Business School, Ori hopes to pursue a management career in Clean Tech in Israel, promote Israeli technologies to global markets and ultimately start his own renewable energy company.
