HELPING YOU CHOOSE

We are here to help you find the right programme

If you're not sure exactly what programme is right for you, we offer several ways that can help you decide. You can visit us personally at one of our Open House Counselling sessions, or you can look through the programmes we have available in our 'find a scholarship' section. We can also help with the applications procedure. And for general help and advice about applying for scholarships you can check out our FAQs section. Also find out if you meet the eligibility requirements for the programme you are interested in with our eligibility criteria test.

Open House sessions

If you're interested in finding out about scholarships to study in the UK, our Open House sessions are designed to provide the detailed information you need. The majority of students who come to study in the UK pay for their courses privately. There are a limited number of scholarships and grants available for meritorious students.

The British government and other UK organisations provide a number of scholarships and awards to help international students to study in the UK. The Scholarship Open House sessions provide the personal, face-to-face information you need.

The briefing sessions take place at the four main British Council offices in India (Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai). Information is given on scholarships available through the British Council. A detailed briefing is given on the British Chevening Scholarships Programme, which is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) of the British government and managed by the British Council.  There is also an opportunity to put any questions you may have to a member of the British Council Scholarships team. These sessions are open to the public and there is no registration fee.

For more information you can contact your nearest British Council office in New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai.
