The 'Wanted' section can be useful. The Crime Prevention section has some good texts for work on advice.
Crime Scene Evidence File
A website dedicated to solving imaginary crimes, especially murder. A new case comes out weekly. Extensive texts, video clips, photos of evidence etc. Users can email for additional information, solve current or past crimes etc.
The Krays
A biased version of the life of the Kray twins, the East End gangsters. This is the homepage of the 'Kray Kampaign'.
Murder Inc.
This website contains history of early 20th century gangsters in general, and features the real-life 'Murder Inc'.
Focus on the Death Penalty
This is a balanced, well-presented site from the University of Anchorage, Alaska, with comprehensive links to both sides of the debate.
New Musical Express This UK music magazine has news, reviews, gigs, charts. Often offensively garish, but bang up-to-date.
No shortage of information on the Internet here, although much of it might be thought too advocational for classroom use.
Greenpeace International is well put together, as is the
Friends of the Earth website.
The
Global Eco-village Network is a large, well-organised site, often with interesting features.
Envirolink, the website of the 'Online Environmental Community' is a very rich resource, with large sections on animal rights, sustainable business etc.
