Reading Circles

In the UK reading clubs and circles are popular informal gatherings where people share their reading experiences. There are estimated to be 50,000 clubs in Britain. No wonder - they're a marvellous way to discover new books and meet like-minded people.

Faces and Places aims to introduce new British writing in partnership with county libraries in Hungary through developing reading circles. They have an added feature most UK circles would envy: we provide a visiting author who will read from his or her own work and answer your questions. As well as having a good natter about your favourite book, a reading circle is a good place to find out about books you would have otherwise missed.

Why not join a reading circle? If you would like to read the book in advance, copy is available in any of the county libraries hosting the events below. Can't make the event? Post a question to our visiting novelists.
