Thank you for considering learning English with the British Council. We aim to provide you with the most effective English language learning services available. These courses help you to improve the English you need for your current or future job. They teach you, through relevant work situations, the communication skills essential for career success and give you the confidence you need to use English at work.

These courses will help you:

improve all four language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - through a wide variety of work-related tasks   
expand your vocabulary   
develop your understanding of grammar   
become aware of ways in which you can become more effective in your use of English.

Course length    18 weeks – 54 hours

For each course, there is a specially designed syllabus which specifies key learning objectives and outcomes. These indicate what you should be able to do by the end of the course in terms of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
