Creative Cities

Creative Cities is the result of a partnership between the British Council and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. The programme was timed to coincide with the launch, by the HKSAR government, of a mapping exercise for creative industries.

活動由三個項目組成：於香港大學舉行大型會議，探討政府、商界和教育界如何參予促進創意經濟發展；在港麗酒店舉行的論壇則由七位英國實業家親自演示創意工業的商機；而在新成立的香港設計中心的圓桌會議上，來自英國和香港本地的創意工業同業一起討論未來的合作與伙伴計劃。

為了令節目更豐富，我們邀請英國當代藝術中心總裁Philip Dodd出任會議主席並 邀請多位本港講者出席。 主要的香港講者包括和記黃埔董事總經理霍建寧先生、香港工業總會羅仲榮先生，以及香港大學程介明教授。

The UK Team
Our fourteen-strong UK team, led by Philip Dodd, included Paul Bennun (Somethin’ Else), Michael Bichard (London Institute), Shelley Fox, Graham Hitchen (London Development Agency), Maria Chen-Pascual, John Newbigin (Channel 4) and Daljit Singh (Digit). ICA council members Alan Yentob and Andrew Warren also joined the group

We continued our creative industries programme with a digital video festival in December 2002 and programmes in urban regeneration in 2003.
