Digital Pioneers objectives

We aim to identify and develop a network of young creative entrepreneurs in Hong Kong and the UK via international mentorship, overseas work placements, industry-specific capacity building activities and peer exchanges, we want to identify and develop a network of young creative entrepreneurs in Hong Kong and the UK. We also believe that Digital Pioneers will provide opportunities for creative industry focused entrepreneurial skills to take shape, build a sustainable platform for international business and creative collaborations to grow. We hope to identify talents in the market and support them in their journey towards becoming future leaders in the international creative industry marketplace.

How is Digital Pioneers different from the many awards and schemes which are already run in the UK and Hong Kong?

It offers candidates real international exposure by engaging them in professional visits and real job placements in the UK / Hong Kong
Mentors for Digital Pioneers are real pioneers and leading figures in the industry. Studies have shown that mentorship is one of the most effective methods in helping creative entrepreneurs develop personally and professionally. We aim to establish long-term and sustainable mentoring relationships which provide personalised industry advice and experience..
The parallel programme in both Hong Kong and the UK allows winners to exchange with their peers in another part of the world to build a real network which is going to be crucial in the development of future international collaborations in the industry.

Are you a Digital Pioneer?

Three entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and three from the UK will get the opportunity to meet leading industry figures, key companies working across the digital media industry from gaming to interactive TV/film to animation and much more. If you are from Hong Kong this opportunity will take place in the UK and if you are from the UK the opportunity will take place in Hong Kong.

Are you aged 21 to 35?
Do you work in the digital entertainment/media industry?
Are you passionate about what you are doing and prepared to have your existing practices challenged?
Do you want to gain exposure in the international market?
Are you interested in exploring the UK digital entertainment market?
Do you have a big idea for which you need advice on how it can be realised?
