Launch of Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) in Athens and panel discussion
The Migrant Integration Policy Index is a bi-annual assessment of migration policy across 28 countries which has expanded its scope to look at over 130 policies and practices affecting migrants’ lives. It now covers long-term residence, labour market access, family reunion, political participation, access to nationality and anti-discrimination. The project is the largest study of its kind and is recognised as a key step in moving discussions and debate forwards.
The British Council is supporting the event and recognises that the launch and panel discussion of the Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) will provide a platform for interested parties to voice their opinions.
'Europe should develop a common, rigorous system of evaluation of integration processes ... we have already started ... an important project ... [the] Migrant Integration Policy Index.'
