TEST AND REGISTRATION DATES 2012
The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) is administered in Athens and Thessaloniki throughout the year.
Please note:
The modules can be taken together in one test session or separately, in any order, over three sessions. For detailed information about each module, see What is TKT?
ENTRY REGULATIONS
Candidates may not repeat a module within four months at any Centre.
FEES
The test fee for TKT is €50 per module.

HOW TO REGISTER
Please follow the instructions below exactly to complete your registration successfully.
By direct deposit to the British Council account at Alpha Bank. You can do this at any Alpha Bank branch, via an ATM or via web banking through your own bank.

Please quote the name of the candidate and the examination title on the deposit slip in the ‘Αιτιολογία' field (e.g. N. Papanikolaou, TKT).

To complete your registration, please submit the completed and signed TKT Application Form along with the bank deposit slip, bank cheque or personal cheque to the British Council as follows:
Candidates in Macedonia, Thrace and Thessaly should send the above documents by registered mail to our Thessaloniki office (see below for contact details).
EXAMINATION TIMETABLE
Your timetable will be sent to your address as given on your application form by mail or courier approximately 3 weeks before the examination date.
REFUNDS
We are able to refund 75% of your examination fee for medical reasons only. Appropriate medical evidence (from a state hospital, IKA, TEBE etc) and your timetable must be submitted to the British Council no later than one (1) week after the test date.
Please ask the TKT Administrator for the Request for Refund Form. The completed form should be returned to the TKT Administrator along with the receipt for the test fee (see below for contact details).
TRANSFERS
No transfers can be made between test sessions.
SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS
We make every effort to provide suitable arrangements wherever possible to help candidates with special requirements to understand questions and tasks, to record their answers and to demonstrate their English to the best of their ability. These may include extra time, separate accommodation or equipment, Braille versions of question papers, etc.
Requests should be addressed to the British Council at least 3 months in advance of the test session and should be supported by an appropriate original medical certificate issued by public hospital within the last two years. A verified translation of the medical certificate is also needed. For further information, please contact us.
