In the UK, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) has accredited the Cambridge ESOL examinations as a part of the national qualifications framework.
Recognition has recently been extended to include the teaching awards the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and the Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA).
The Cambridge ESOL exams are also part of an International Framework whose aim is to make clear how qualifications achieved in different languages correspond to each other and what they actually mean in practice. This makes your qualifications more usable and increases your potential mobility, and is of great value not only to the holders of qualifications but also to employers, academic institutions and others.
