We are pleased to announce that candidates can now choose to take the computer-based versions of the KETfS and PETfS tests: CBKETfS and CBPETfS. The computer-based tests are the same as the paper and pen tests and lead to the same internationally recognised Cambridge ESOL certificate - only the method of completing the test is different.
Practice tests for CBKETfS and CBPETfS giving teachers and candidates the opportunity to see what a CB test is like and the types of items that will appear in the live test, are now available: CBKETfS Free Sample and CBPETfS Free Sample.
KEY ENGLISH TEST FOR SCHOOLS (KETfS)
The Key English Test for Schools (KETfS) is at Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It offers a basic qualification in English and is the first step towards Cambridge Level Two, the Preliminary English Test for Schools (PETfS) and the rest of the Cambridge ESOL Examinations. KETfS is specially designed for school pupils, making it the ideal choice for pupils at this level.
PRELIMINARY ENGLISH TEST FOR SCHOOLS (PETfS)
The Preliminary English Test for Schools (PETfS) is at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A learner at this level can use English in a range of everyday situations requiring a fairly predictable use of language in their own or a foreign country, with native and non-native speakers of English. PETfS is specially designed for school pupils, making it the ideal choice for pupils at this level.
