Our City Streets exhibitions take you on a journey into the streets of Athens, where Europe meets Africa, Asia and the Balkans.
CITY STREETS PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
Our City Streets photography exhibition showcases the work of the *14 young photographers (18–30 years old) who won our City Streets Photography Competition last year, and went on to participate in a series of workshops led by acclaimed Greek photographer Nikos Economopoulos. The result? A photographic record of the new, multicultural face of Athens and of the stories of people living in the Greek capital – people who speak different languages and have diverse origins and cultures, but who all share a common reality in their new home.

The pupils participated in workshops under the guidance of the photographer Kamilo Nollas, whose aim was to equip them with the skills needed to capture life in their neighbourhood on camera.

We have commissioned Big State Theatre to design a street theatre piece on the themes of identity and multiculturalism which will be performed outside the two exhibition venues in Athens.
