As part of our programme of events and on the occasion of Emma Hayley and Sonia Leong's visit to Athens ( SelfMadeHero), we have also launched an innovative comics competition, inviting professional and amateur young comic artists to illustrate a scene from a Shakespeare play in manga style, recreating it in a world we can relate to today. The Children’s & Young Adults’ Book Fair, organised by the National Book Centre in collaboration with Greek publishers and the Circle of Greek Children’s Book, is the only book fair in Greece dedicated to the younger generation. Its aims are to promote the wealth of books published for children and teenagers and to encourage reading among young people.
