On the eve of the opening of Gilbert & George's long-awaited new exhibition Jack Freak Pictures at the Bernier/Eliades Gallery, the artistic duo answer questions in conversation with the writer Michael Bracewell.
The two artists will go under the microscope in a discussion that aims to reveal various well and lesser known aspects of their internationally acclaimed work.
Michael Bracewell is the author of six novels and three works of non-fiction including Perfect Tense (2001) and England Is Mine (1997). He has written widely on modern and contemporary art, and specifically on the art of Gilbert & George. He is a regular contributor to frieze magazine and was a Turner Prize judge in 2006.
There will be simultaneous translation in to Greek. Admission free.
Following the event the artists will sign exhibition catalogues in the museum lobby.
Jack Freak Pictures will open on Thursday 19 November 2009 (2000-2200) at the Bernier/Eliades Gallery and the opening will be attended by Gilbert & George. The exhibition will run until 9 January 2010.
When: Wednesday 18 November 2009, 7 p.m.
