Athens and other towns and cities throughout Greece will once again be swaying to the music during this year's events, which span a full three days making European Music Day the biggest celebration of music in Greece.
With over 100 performances taking place all over the country by both Greek and international artists – including many from the UK – European Music Day will cater for all musical tastes covering a wide range of genres from traditional and classical music to rock, pop, jazz, world, electro, dance, hip-hop, reggae, funk and more ...

HIP HOP WORKSHOP
If you're in the National Gardens on Saturday 21 June, don't miss this opportunity to take part in a hip hop workshop!
Under the guidance of music educator Nancy Toumbakari, and using a variety of musical instruments and pre-recorded rap and hip hop, you'll have the chance to create your own piece of music either by playing one of the instruments or by 'rapping'! After a short rehearsal, you'll take part in the final performance ... which will also be captured on film!
The workshop is aimed at teenagers and adults and admission is free.
