Professor Sudhanshu Bhushan    

Professor and Head, Department of Higher and Professional Education, National University of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi, India    

Professor Sudhanshu Bhushan specializes in the Internationalisation of Higher Education and he is actively engaged in the planning and implementation of India’s 11th five year plan for higher education (2007-12). He is also head of the Department of Higher & Professional Education at the National University of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi, India. He has 25 years of teaching experience in Economics and in higher education issues and he is currently delivering a course in Education Policy to MPhil and PhD scholars.

Professor Bhushan is currently engaged in two research projects, one relating to the participation of Muslims in higher education and one relating to understanding the central university system in India. He has also been engaged in capacity building for India’s educational planners and administrators. Professor Bhushan has provided advisory support to a research project funded by UKIERI and British Council, 'Foreign Education Providers in India', and has represented India on the issues of mutual recognition of degrees in UNESCO meetings and seminars.

He earned an MPhil (Economics) from the Delhi School of Economics, and a PhD in (Economics) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
