Dr Richard Hames    

Distinguished Professor and Founding Director, Asian Foresight Institute, Dhurakij Pundit University, Thailand    

Richard David Hames is Founder and Honorary President of The Hames Group, a globally distributed think-tank and strategic design laboratory.  He is also Director of Thoughtpost Edge and a Distinguished Professor and founding Director of the Asian Foresight Institute at Dhurakij Pundit University in Bangkok. Richard is a leading corporate philosopher, author and knowledge designer. Working at the interface between organisations and society, he is widely considered to be among the world's most influential intellectuals and strategic futurists.

Richard began his career in academia and the arts and was later appointed Group Chief Executive of AMI. In this role he transformed a near bankrupt business into one of Europe’s leading media corporations. In 1993 he co-founded Global Business Network Australia (GBNA) and established ABN Learning - GBNA's innovative consulting division. Today, Richard works as a strategic adviser to institutions and multinational corporations across the world and advises governments. He holds numerous scholarships and fellowships and is a celebrated author, having written the bestselling book The Management Myth: Exploring the Essence of Future Organizations. He has published and contributed numerous other books including The Five Literacies of Global Leadership. An Australian citizen educated in Europe, Richard now lives in Thailand.
