Who is the ELZ for?
Are you over 14 years old?
Have you already learnt some English and you can read this without any help?
Do you want to make fast progress in learning more English?
Or do you simply want some intensive (but enjoyable) practice to get a good exam pass?
Do you believe that you learn best through your own work?
If you answered yes to the above questions, the British Council English Learning Zone is the place for you!
What do I do to enrol in the ELZ?
Note:
A 40-hour course means 20 hours of work in the multi-media ELZ + 20 hours of planned home assignments
An 80-hour course means 40 hours of work in the multi-media ELZ + 40 hours of planned home assignments
What help do I get?
The ELZ coordinator's job is to make sure you get all the help you need to make the best possible progress. She is constantly at your service and will assist you with all your learning problems. She will also of course be ready to discuss with you any changes you would like to make in your schedule.
Checking progress
If you are taking a language enrichment course you will be tested at the beginning of your course and at the end. If you work hard you can expect to progress by one level by the end of an LE course.
Do I get a certificate?
At the end of an 80-hour LE course, you will receive a British Council certificate showing which level you have reached, provided your performance in the final test is satisfactory.
