26 - 28 October - First International UK Alumni Conference: Caucasus 2007 – setting up a network of like-minded professionals and discussions with politically aware young people on how to resolve conflicts in the CIS.

30 October: Launch by British Council, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, of the annual Reading Challenge in 10 schools across the country. This year’s 6-month reading-activity programme, entitled The Big Wild Read, will focus on the natural environment and its protection.

12 November: Finalists in the Road to Davos competition announced. This is a British Council and World Economic Forum project to select 16-19 year olds from 50 countries to attend the Greenwich Forum meeting in UK (see below), prior to the annual WEF meeting in Davos.

16 November: Natia Mshvidobadze and Givi Ordenidze to participate in the Network Effect Project Management and Advisory Board meeting in Budapest.  Network Effect aims to create and nurture networks between the next generation of European leaders.

19-20 November:  Nino Chubinidze, Head of the National Centre for Education Accreditation, and Maka Kordzadze, Coordinator at the NEAC, in Cyprus to attend a Skills@Work workshop: Quality Assurance in Technical Vocational Education and Training. Skills@Work is a 3-year regional project to improve vocational education and training (VET)

24 – 26 November: A new production ‘Destination Tbilisi’ to be shown live in Istanbul by  Georgian Artist Nikakoi accompanied by British Visual Artist’s Flat-e.  Also staging a Turkish electronic music artist working with a Georgian VJ. A documentary Electronauts also to be screened at this event, showing Nikakoi and the goslab collective at work in their environment.

26–30 November:  Sozar Subari a public defender of Georgia to attend a workshop in London under the British Council global project Trust in Government and Public Services.

29 November: Skills@Work Contca seminar in UK
