Each Future City Game invovles a range of different people and organisations in different roles.
Licensee
Plans the game, sets success criteria and has a licensing agreement with British Council.
Games are being played in 15 countries including: Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, UK, Ukraine and Russia.

Games Master
Sets up, facilitates and reports on the game. Find out more.
Players
Participate in the game and work together in teams to come up with innovative ideas to help make their city a better place to live.
Practitioners
Specialists in their field who provide information about local and global challenges and who offer guidance to players about ways in which they can improve their ideas.
Please contact your local British Council Project Manager if you would like to offer your services as a practitioner.
Community members
Representatives living or working in the location where the game is played who give players a personal perspective of the local area.
General public
Players are encouraged to seek the opinions of people in the local area, who are not recruited in advance, to help them improve their ideas.
Observers
Invited by game licensee, partner organisations or other patrons of Future City Game to observe the game.
