International Schools Road Show, Thailand

24 to 28 November 2008

The International School Road Show was first introduced in October 2007. It was welcomed by most UK institutions and international schools in Thailand. In order to promote undergraduate study in the UK and maintain a good relationship with key international schools in Thailand, the British Council will be organising the Road Show again this year. It will visit schools in Bangkok and Pattaya between 24 and 28 November 2008. In addition to visiting the four schools as in the previous year, the Road Show will this year be extended to another three international schools.

The programme may be subject to change and other international schools may be substituted.

There may be an opportunity to give a presentation at each school. According to a conversation with the school administrators, the three most popular subjects for the students include science-related subjects, mathematics, and business and management. According to the 2007 Road Show, all of the participants will be students in year 12 and 13 who are looking for undergraduate courses in the UK, mainly at Higher Education institutions.

The participation fee is:

The fee includes stands, transportation, lunch and coffee breaks where applicable. A maximum of 16 institutions can be accommodated. Stand sharing between two institutions is available at a premium of twenty per cent on the cost of participation.

All applications will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis and after consultation with the international schools involved. As the number of places is limited, please note that priority will be given in the following order:

  • Thailand Partnership members
  • All other Partnership members
  • All other institutions
