World-famous UK-based shoe designer, Professor Jimmy Choo OBE, will attend this year's event in Tokyo and Osaka as an ambassador of UK education. He will bring 12 pairs of shoes to the Exhibitions. Jimmy Choo's presence will contribute to raising the profile of UK creative education and career opportunities in the creative industries.

As you may have noticed, the price to attend this year's exhibition has remained the same as last year. In terms of local currency, we have made significant cost reductions, however, given the devaluation of the Yen against the Pound (JPY 206 to GBP 1), this cost reduction has not been passed on directly to exhibitors. In order to help reduce the overall costs and following on from feedback at last year's exhibition, we have reduced the time period so that both the Tokyo and Osaka event take place on the same weekend.

The participation fee includes:

• venue hire
• Toyko:
• table, 1.98 metres wide by 0.495 metres deep
• back panel, 1.98 metres wide by 2.4 metres high

• travel between selected hotels and venues
• freight between the Tokyo venue and the Osaka venue.

Stand sharing will be made available at a premium of twenty per cent on the stand costs.

Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.

Meetings with Japanese representatives

1. Agents (Tokyo only): Educational agents, looking for partner institutions in the UK, will be invited and brief profiles of participating agents will be prepared for this meeting.
2. Japanese institutions (Tokyo only): We will hold an informal meeting session in collaboration with the Japan Network for International Education (JAFSA). JAFSA is the largest network of international educational exchange specialists in Japan. They have some 200 corporate members and 400 individual members. Most of the corporate members are universities. JAFSA member institutions interested in links with UK institutions will be invited to this session. JAFSA will prepare some information material, including brief profiles of the participating JAFSA member institutions.
3. Career advisers from Japanese high schools and international schools (Tokyo only): Career advisers from local high schools and international schools will be invited and they will be able to exchange information with the UK participants about the interests and needs of high school and international school students in Japan and recent developments in UK higher education.

Representatives from these groups will each be given a table and UK representatives will be free to circulate and talk to those with whom they are interested in working.

All of the above participants will be invited to a reception which will be held following the meetings. Representatives from vocational colleges, Japanese high schools and journalists will also be invited to this reception.

Visas are not required for UK passport holders. Other passport holders should check with their travel agent or contact the Consulate or Embassy of the country they plan to visit.
