Quick Placement Test

Quick Placement Test is an electronic placement test for learners of English, produced in collaboration with the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations and Oxford University Press.

The test takes about 15 minutes to complete. In this time students answer about 25 multiple-choice questions to test listening, reading, and grammar.

The computer presents a question and then assesses the student's response as right or wrong. As students progress through the test, the questions are automatically adapted to their ability until a consistent level is identified.

To take the electronic test, all you have to do, is come to our information centre during our working hours and you will be shown to the computer where you start the test.

Pen and paper version is also available. It takes about 30 minutes to complete and it includes the same question types as the electronic version except for the Listening. If you'd like to take pen and paper version of the test please contact us in advance to agree a time for your test. We prefer to administer pen and paper tests for bigger groups at a time.

You will not get an official certificate after taking this test but the test can be valuable for getting an idea of your level of English, so you would know, for example, which level of official Cambridge exam to take.
