List of Travellers scheme

We issue the List of Travellers form in the UK for school trips to countries in the European Union (EU) for pupils on the trip who are of a non-EU nationality. The List of Travellers form allows the pupils to go on the trip without the need to apply for a visa.

Our services

We provide information about the British Council and its programs and activities. If we are unable to provide you with information directly then we can guide you to the correct enquiry point. We also provide several other specific services including the List of Travellers scheme.

Our staff are trained in the use of plain English and we aim to make the information we provide as clear as possible. We are also able to provide information in special formats, such as Braille, if this is needed.

We do not charge you to use the Customer Service Team's services. The only costs you will incur will be the cost of your chosen communication method. Please note that some of the programs and services we give information on may have a cost involved.

Information Provision
The British Council generates and enhances mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries. It administers a wide range of programmes and services in arts, education,   science and society.

If you need information about any of this but are having difficulty finding it we can help you.

We will either provide you with the information or refer you to the most appropriate department. The most common requests for information we receive are around:

List of Travellers
The List of Travellers is a scheme which enables non-EU pupils in UK schools to travel to other EU member states on educational school trips without the need for a visa. We administer this scheme on behalf of the Home Office. You can find out more about the scheme, who can use it and how to apply on our List of Travellers page.
