‘The ordinariness of the domestic setting is transcended and transformed into something quite extraordinary. Well worth a sniff.’ The Guardian (On the Scent)
‘The quiet power of Leslie Hill and Helen Paris’s performance lies in its low-key directness, its quirky juxtapositions and its understanding of the geography of loneliness and the myth of return.’ The Guardian ((be)longing)
‘Neatly juxtaposes the physical need to belong somewhere with the inner struggle for emotional contact.’ The Stage ((be)longing)
CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
(be)longing Camouflaged in cowboy shirts with fancy stitches made to hide broken hearts and deflecting vulnerability with sequins and high heels, Curious take a road trip to discover what they long for and where they might belong. (55 mins, 2 on stage, 3 on the road.)
On the Scent A site-specific performance exploring the elusive connections between smell and memory that takes place in people’s homes. Audiences are invited on intimate and aromatic journeys as three distinctly different performers exude their own darkly humorous and seductive essences throughout the house.
