ARTISTIC POLICY
ATC aims to tour high quality and ambitious new drama to as wide an audience as possible. The core values of the company are internationalism (such as premiering new international writing or collaborating with artists from other countries); an emphasis on contemporary work that culturally reflects modern society in all its diversity; working with outstanding up-and-coming artists, some at the early stages of their careers; and nurturing partnerships. The company aspires to make work that is coherent, rich, daring, and entertaining.

CURRENT PRODUCTION
The Brothers Size By Tarell Alvin McCraney. A contemporary drama set in Louisiana featuring live music and dance from the rich traditions of West Africa. Staged in the round, the storytelling directly engages the audience. (90 mins, no interval, some strong language, 6 on the road.)
FUTURE PRODUCTION
Amnesia By Naghmeh Samini. A new Iranian play set in Tehran exploring memory loss and the relationship between the sexes. A thrilling plot with a twist at the end. World premiere. (90 mins, no interval, 5 on the road.)
WRAP-AROUND
ATC aims to host a series of events to surround each production, exploring the themes and cultural significance of each play. Events accompanying The Brothers Size include commissions of 20 minute plays from young British/Nigerian writers and up-and-coming directors, a poetry slam night, and an academic panel discussion. Other educational activities include directing and writing masterclasses, in-school work, workshops, and post-show discussions.
